I struggle with forgiveness, whether offering it to others or accepting it from them for my more than consistent gaffes. That is why I believe it is so essential to make forgiveness and how we handle it, giving and receiving it, a big part of what we communicate to others, especially our progeny.
I have known Kirk for about ten years, beginning when he joined the faculty at Owen County High School, where I was the principal. Our conversations as principal and teacher very quickly turned into a friendship that expanded to include our families and the larger circles of our friendship groups. I am delighted to share this conversation, and I hope you will find it valuable and encouraging.
